mansana español

Nobody here says .
They say vos.

Six months in Buenos Aires and still nodding along? The Spanish you studied isn't the Spanish spoken on this street. Learn the real one — online, one to one, with teachers who live here.

Free, about 15 minutes, no card. You'll get your level and a plan the same day.

Present tense hablar

Teachers in Argentina One to one Any level, any age From USD 10 / hour

How it works

Three steps, and the first one is free.

We're the middle: we find and vet the teachers, we work out exactly where you are, and we put the two of you in a room. You just show up and talk.

1

We find your real level

A short conversation and a written check, read by AI against the CEFR scale — A0 through C1. Fifteen minutes, free. Most people place a level below where they'd guess, and one above where they fear.

2

You get matched

We read your evaluation and match you by hand with the teacher who fits your level, your hours and what you're learning for — work, family, residency paperwork, or just following the table at an asado. Not the right fit? Tell us and we'll move you.

3

You speak in week one

Live one-to-one classes over video, scheduled around you. Talking from the first hour — not chapter one of a textbook. In-person classes in Buenos Aires and Córdoba come later.

Levels

Start at zero. Start at 60. Both are normal.

There's no entry requirement and no age at which this stops working. The evaluation puts you on the ladder; the classes move you up it.

A0 Nothing yetYou know hola and you're guessing at the rest. from 0 hrs
A1–A2 SurvivingOrder, shop, greet, explain what you need. Present tense holds. ≈ 40–90 hrs
B1 ConversationHold your side of a chat. Past tenses stop ambushing you. ≈ 120 hrs

C1 FluentWork in it. Joke in it. Catch the sarcasm and the lunfardo. ≈ 350 hrs

Why here

The Spanish you need is the one outside your door.

Rioplatense Spanish isn't an accent you add later — it's a different set of verbs, sounds and words. Learning it anywhere else means unlearning it here.

vos tenés

Voseo

A whole second person you were never taught, with its own conjugation and its own imperative. Every teacher here speaks it natively, because they've never spoken anything else.

la shuvia

The sh sound

Ll and y come out as sh. The fastest way to stop sounding like a textbook — and the reason podcasts from Madrid don't prepare your ear for a taxi in Palermo.

¿me tirás una posta?

Lunfardo

The street vocabulary that never makes it into courses. You don't need all of it, but you need enough to know when you're being teased.

che, dale

Rhythm

Argentines speak with an Italian cadence — the melody is half the meaning. You learn that by talking to one every week, not by drilling flashcards.

Pricing

From USD 10 an hour. That's the whole price.

One to one, sixty minutes, with a real teacher. No membership, no platform fee, no app subscription stacked on top. Buy hours, use them when you want.

Single class $12 per hour

Try it once. No commitment, no pack.

8 hours · most chosen $10 per hour · $80 total

Two classes a week for a month — the pace that actually moves people up a level.

4 hours $11 per hour · $44 total

One class a week. Good for holding what you have.

Our teachers

Vetted in person. Argentine. Teaching from here.

We don't publish teacher profiles, photos or surnames — our teachers are working professionals, not a catalogue to browse. What we publish is the bar every one of them clears before they ever meet a student.

de acá

Argentine, teaching from Argentina

Native rioplatense speakers who live here. The voseo, the sh and the rhythm aren't things they studied — they're how they talk.

cara a cara

We meet them first

Every teacher has a real conversation with us before they're accepted. We're not scraping a marketplace and taking a cut of whoever signs up.

desde cero

Comfortable with absolute beginners

Teaching someone with zero Spanish is a specific skill, and not every fluent speaker has it. Every teacher here can run a first class in English and get you talking anyway.

a tu medida

Matched by hand

No algorithm picks your teacher. We read your evaluation and choose the person who fits your level, your hours and why you're learning — and you can switch, no penalty, no explanation needed.

You'll meet your teacher in the free evaluation, before you pay for anything.

Questions

Before you book

I speak absolutely no Spanish. Is that a problem?

No — it's the most common place to start. Your teacher speaks English and will use it early on, then less and less. The evaluation is built so that answering “I don't know” to everything is a perfectly valid result.

I'm in my fifties. Am I too old for this?

No. Adults learn languages differently from children, not worse — you're better at structure and worse at not caring how you sound. A one-to-one teacher fixes the second part, which is the part that actually blocks people.

Online only?

For now, yes — live video, one to one. That's what lets us keep it at USD 10 an hour and match you with the right teacher rather than the nearest one. In-person classes in Buenos Aires and Córdoba come later.

Can I choose my teacher?

You can always change them. We propose the best fit from your evaluation, and if the match isn't right — the hours, the style, the personality — tell us and we'll move you. No penalty and no explanation needed. A teacher you click with beats a teacher on paper.

Why don't you show the teachers' profiles?

Because they're working professionals, not a catalogue. Publishing names, photos and schedules exposes them to strangers for no benefit to you — you'd still be choosing off a headshot. Instead we match you by hand and you meet your teacher in the free evaluation, before you've paid anything.

Will I learn Spanish, or just Argentine Spanish?

Both — they're the same language. You'll learn standard grammar and be understood anywhere from Mexico to Madrid. What you get on top is the voseo, the sound and the vocabulary of the country you're actually standing in.

How do I pay?

confirm Placeholder — tell me what you want to accept (transfer, Mercado Pago, card) and I'll write this properly.
